Since 1991 Peter has managed a successful commercial litigation practice as a sole practitioner; a feat not easily accomplished as "Big Law" has grown to dominate the field. Forty years of experience, innovation, technology, but most importantly, creative out of the box strategies, has allowed the firm to keep litigation costs low and client satisfaction high. Currently, the Law Office of Peter J. Stanton shares offices with two very qualified, but independent, attorneys who sometimes act as co-counsel. While both lawyers maintain their own practices, Mr. David Adkisson has tried over 200 cases to verdict, and Ms. Brooks von Biberstein's practice with several prominent law firms in Boston, Atlanta and her native North Carolina, adds a unique perspective to our cases.
Even today when approximately 90% of civil cases settle, trial experience matters. Few attorneys are able to meet the stringent trial requirements mandated by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Out of the approximately ninety thousand lawyers in Texas, seven thousand and two hundred are Board Certified. But only seven hundred and fifty share the same certification as Mr. Stanton who board-certified in Civil Trial Law. The Board is currently considering loosening the trial requirements, because so few attorneys have the required trial experience.
Mr. Stanton is also licensed in all Texas State and Federal Courts. He has represented clients in cases in California, Georgia and Arizona.
He was listed in Texas Monthly as a "Super Lawyer" in 2020, and appeared on the list of the Best Lawyers in San Antonio published by Scene S.A. in 2020 and 2021.
