Peter J. Stanton
- Peter Stanton was born in St. Paul Minnesota, raised in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio State University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature.
- After a gap year, during which he served as a Deputy Constable for Travis County Precinct Five, serving civil process, Peter started at St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio.
- In 1982, he graduated in the top 10% of his class from Saint Mary’s and served for a year as a briefing attorney for the Hon. Antonio Gallardo Cantu, Associate Justice at the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio.
- After a short stint with a small hill-country law firm, and serving as the full-time personal attorney for an individual client, Peter began his own practice in the early nineties.
- Mr. Stanton has been board certified in Civil Trial law since 1992. He was appointed to the Texas Board of Legal Specialization’s Civil Trial Law Advisory Commission in 2022. The advisory commission reviews applications and makes recommendations to the board regarding the suitability of applicants for board certification in civil trial law.
